Overview

The conveyor belt of the bearing and return branches is curled into a tubular belt conveyor. It is a new type of conveyor with both pipeline conveying and belt conveying. It has the advantages of large conveying inclination, small curvature radius, small fuselage cross-sectional area, curved conveying in three-dimensional space, conveyor belt does not run off, convenient conveying line layout, maintenance and management, but the lumpiness of materials is limited by the width of the conveyor belt. It is not suitable for occasions where the conveying line is short and the material is received or discharged in multiple places (except the tubular belt conveyor with roller guide). Used to transport coal, ore, grain, cement, pulp and concrete and other bulk and powdery materials.

The conveyor belt is surrounded by a roller mounted on the end plate of the frame, curled into a tubular shape, and the conveyor belt overlapping and lapping method is adopted to achieve a tubular closed conveyor. The machine can be divided into three types: self-sealing type, round end disk type and rectangular end disk type. (1) Self-sealing tubular belt conveyor The conveyor belt is a round rubber hose that is cut along the longitudinal section, which can be closed into a round tube shape in the running area, and only unfolds into a flat conveyor in the receiving area and unloading area (Figure 2a on the next page). The bearing branch of the conveyor has four rollers, two rollers arranged in a V-shape are used to support the conveyor belt and the weight of the material, and two parallel rollers on the side are used to prevent the conveyor belt from spreading out on both sides under the action of the material. The straight section of the return branch is supported by two V-shaped idlers with the interface facing down. The curve section has four rollers, of which two V-shaped rollers support the conveyor belt, and the other two parallel side rollers are used to withstand the radial force generated by the conveyor belt tension.

(2) There are 12 supporting rollers for the bearing and return branch of the tubular belt conveyor with circular end disc, which are divided into two groups and installed on two flat surfaces of the circular end disc, respectively forming two regular hexagonal cross sections (Figure 2b on the next page). Rollers are interleaved to avoid wear caused by contact between conveyor belt and roller end face. If the center line of the conveyor frame is inconsistent with the direction of the bending line, the position of the end plate can be adjusted to make the conveyor belt run normally.

(3) The tubular belt conveyor with rectangular end disk is the most widely used and the most mature technology in the tubular belt conveyor. There are 12 supporting rollers in the bearing and return branches, which are divided into two groups and installed on two planes of the rectangular end plate to form two regular hexagonal sections respectively (Figure 2c on the next page). The supporting rollers are arranged in the same vertical plane. In the receiving area, the conveyor belt is in a straight state at the drum, and then gradually transitions to a U-shaped state, and finally becomes a tubular shape. In the unload area the process is reversed. Since the conveyor belt is surrounded by 6 idlers to form a tubular shape, in addition to the operation resistance, there are also tubular resistance, rigid resistance and bending resistance, so the power required by the conveyor should be increased. Conveyor can be bent operation, for nylon core conveyor belt, its curvature radius must be greater than 300 times the diameter of the pipe; The radius of curvature of the steel wire rope conveyor belt must be greater than 700 times the diameter of the pipe. When the material loading area exceeds 75% of the cross-sectional area of the round pipe and the maximum bulk degree is less than 1/3 of the pipe diameter, the conveyor can operate normally.
